Page 10/365 : The Wrong Hoodie, Root Beer & 99 to go

Picked up a couple of parcels tonight. The first was one containing 12 cans of root beer, JR’s Chipolte Ketchup & Mustard and a couple of Reese’s Fast Bars all from American Soda. Cracking lineup of good. Had a sample of each with tea tonight.

The second parcel was my Coca Cola hoodie that I had ordered from Asda. I picked it up from Morley’s Asda. Opening it when I got home I soon realised…this ain’t Coca Fucking Cola??? Looks like a trip back to Asda needed! Ridiculous!

One of our Geocaches got its first log today, yay! But it was someone nearby who was saying that they were working away and would normally have picked it up but couldn’t. Great!

Gave some blood for tests this morning. The nurse was lovely. She gave me a sign up to the Bodyline card for £5 for three months…not bad at all! Gonna deffo be using that. Apparently my ECG was all fine and there’s nothing wrong. At least I know.

99 days to go until the wedding.

Everyone apart from Dale and my Dad now paid up on the Stag. Messages everyone about the coach too. It’ll soon be here!

Page 9/365 : Caches approved & iPod swimming

Got the email through for the approval of the Geocaches in Middleton Park today after speaking to Graeme at Leeds City Council. He’s the estate officer for Middleton Park. Resubmitted the two Geocaches and now just waiting on the reviewer going through and checking it off and everything is live and we will have three active Geocaches. Good times indeed.

Finally got to the swimming baths this evening. Went over to Rothwell, armed with our iPods inside the iSwim, the waterproof case we bought earlier in the week. All was going well until about 20 lengths in when the iPod broke as it was swimming in water inside the case. Typical! When Elle got out, she also had water in her case but it wasn’t broken.

Did 34 lengths. Would’ve liked to have done more but we need to build it up gradually. It’s over half a mile so will settle for that!

I moved to within one of Elle on the 24 “guess the time” game. Now losing 8-7. Plenty of episodes to go though still.

Page 8/365 : The Rock(s)

Tonight we picked up the wedding rings from H Samuel at the White Rose. They were spot on and fitted perfectly. Not long now until the big day.

Paid money over for the Stag Do for three of the lads.

Watched Raw from last night and loved it. CM Punk cut a cracking promo after winning a TLC match, flapping his gums about respect and performing and the puppetry the WWE has over its fans…then The Rock came out and they had a good session of back and forth. It was really entertaining. Should be a good lead up to Royal Rumble (if The Rock sticks around…). It’s funny because Elle really hates him and how he speaks about himself in the third person!

Dave Woollin watched some more 24 tonight, pulling back the “Guess The Time” game to 8-6 to his Fiancée. Dave Woollin is going to step up the game. Dave Woollin cannot lose!!!

Having a bit of a weight loss competition in work. Dave Woollin must strive to be the best! Dave Woollin must lose more than everyone else.

Geocache Update : Miggy Park #1 and #2 are a step closer to being active after I acquired the email address of the person who administers the Park and would be able to give me an answer on whether I would be allowed to “place” my caches (heehee!). I was passed the details by someone at the Friends Of Middleton Park website…so fingers crossed I can get the permission and activate the Caches!

Page 7/365 : Slimming & Stag Monies

Back to Slimming World tonight after the disastrous 13 and half pound I put on over Christmas. Manage to claw back 7 & 1/2 lb in one week, so it’s all on the right track and the right direction. Dedicated to it massively more than ever with the wedding looming!

Couple more lads paid their Stag Do money today too…coming along nicely nicely now. Can’t wait!

Page 6/365 : Geocaches & Curry time

Today was the day I decided to put one of my Christmas presents into action and put my own Geocaches in place. For those of you that don’t know, Geocaching is a fun treasure-hunt type game where containers are hidden around the world and using a GPS device, you can go out, track them down and log them online. It’s good fun and it gets you out of the house.

After camouflaging two Tupperware boxes, and putting all kinds of trinkets inside, along with Woollin Mammoth, our new Trackable item, we set off out with Derek to Middleton Park to place our Geocaches. The first one we placed in a sneaky little spot which would be a nice find. The second we hid in amongst some trees.The third, a small magnetic container, we took to the entrance to the park and positioned in an easy-to-find-if-you-were-looking-for-it place.

After coming home and logging them online, we received a couple of emails back…the first was confirming that the small box was OK’d and was now fully active…woohoo! The second email however was a problem…we hadn’t obtained permission from the Land Owner to place this Cache and as such, they would not be activated until it was OK’d with the Land Owner. I have now emailed the National Trust, hoping they would know…how am I meant to know who the land owner is???

Tomorrow is my Mum’s birthday but tonight we decided to head to Jeera’s Indian Restaurant in Morley for a meal. I had the Mixed Kebab to start with and the Naga Surprise as a main. It was lovely! Lawlor had introduced me to the joys of Naga when we were in Wales over Christmas and it was well worth it.

The car-saga continues! After being fobbed off yesterday with regards to repair, I contacted the other guy from the garage today and he told me that they wouldn’t be able to sort anything with it this week so I would have to take it back there next weekend…we’re very close to putting a rejection in…but if they are continuing to fix, then we’re going to continue to take it back to see what happens!

Page 5/365 – Wedding money paid & CITV goes Retro

Busy busy day.

Firstly, lets focus on CITV’s retro day…where for one weekend, the CITV channel was showing old TV shows that we used to love, such as Knightmare, Fun House, Art Attack, Wizadora and Woof! Wow! This brought back some awesome memories of running in home after school and putting ITV straight on and just not moving until they had all finished. Knightmare was always my favourite. The episode they decided to put on last night had a cocky kid called Barry in the dungeon…and he was a rather annoying little fuck, always gobbing off without his advisors telling him to do so….I preferred it when the advisors were thick and told the dungeoneer to do something wrong and sent them down a pit filled with spikes or stakes!

Lots of wedding planning went down today too…first we went to the venue to finalise all the plans for the day and sort out the running order of everything and sort out how the afternoon tea would be presented. That was all good fun.

Then it was to the White Rose Centre to pay off the balance of the Honeymoon…taking a nice hit to the bank account to the tune of almost £2k. But at least all the Honeymoon is now sorted and paid for…just gotta find the spending money from somewhere.

Also booked our Elvis wedding renewal at Graceland chapel in Las Vegas. We’re going to be getting it on DVD so we’ll be able to show people. It should be good fun.

Bought some T-Shirts online for honeymoon too…all geeky ones with crap slogans…but I like them so they’ll be good. Also bought one for when I go on the Zombie Run in Manchester later in the year :

Page 4/365 : No Hobbit

Fairly uneventful day.

Work just seemed to plod along.

Had a delivery from Find Me A Gift today. We’d ordered waterproof cases and headphones for the iPod so we can go swimming with the music on and not get that Swim-boredom that always seems to kick in…now I can swim with the entire Rocky 4 soundtrack playing in my ears…Inspirational!

Oh, and wearing one clearly makes you look hot in a bikini…although that arm strap is a bit tighter around my Chubby-arm…!

I was meant to be going to see The Hobbit tonight, but a combination of being a bit tired, with not being arsed, with just thinking it would be easier to stay in and play on the Xbox led me to do just that. I have recently bought LA Noire so been playing that. It’s quite a good game, although it is very linear, but I like it.

Watched a couple more 24…Jack Bauer is now infected with a deadly virus…all in a day’s work really!

Page 3/365 : Celebrity Big Brother 2013

It’s baaaaaaaaack!

The programme everyone says they don’t watch, but everyone knows what’s happening is back on Channel 5…Celebrity Big Brother with it’s mix of non-celebs and hit rock-bottom famous faces all battling it out for another shot at superstardom (!).

So who’s in there the this year?

Frankie Dettori : recently shamed through drugs, Frankie is clearly here for one reason, to prove he’s an “alright bloke”. I do quite like Dettori an I think he’s going to be quite entertaining this year in this.

Rylan : Oh dear…as if we haven’t already had enough of Rylan over on the X Factor, up he pops with a few “drop mi aaaht” shouts and over excitedness. Will win!

Paula Hamilton : She was in a car advert once and clearly thinks she’s special. An early contender for being first out!

Tricia Penrose : That busty barmaid from Heartbeat has got…erm…Bustier. Been off the radar longer than a stealth bomber…time will tell…

Ryan Moloney : IT’s TOADIE FROM NEIGHBOURS. That is all!

Gillian Taylforth : Swapping Albert Square for BB, Gillian is in the house ready to prove herself as not just “That cockney bird out of everything cockey”

Lacey Banghard : She’s blonde, she’s a page 3 model, she’s called Bang Hard…is there really anything more to say here? Will be old comedy value methinks.

Sam Robertson : that lad who was in Corrie for a bit and was a bit of a poor actor. Joys! One for the teenage girl vote. Will stay in until final unless he’s a prick…in which case he’ll probably win!

Claire Richards : Never mind Steps, she needs a step machine. After letting herself go a bit, Claire could do with being out in the basement with basic rations…but she’s not, she’s up with the luxury.

Razor Ruddock : A last minute replacement for Jim Davidson following his arrest, I think Razor is definitely going to be this year’s comic relief. He’ll tell it how it is, which could prove to be messy!

Heidi & Spencer : some gimps from some gimpy US TV show, these guys seriously love themselves…especially him! In reality, he’s a cock and will no doubt be exposed by a more realistic view of their lives than the scripted rubbish that is The Hills.

All said and done, it’s not a bad lineup. I think Rylan, Sam, Toady and Tricia will be there until the end, barring any craziness.

And the twist this year is that half the contestants are starting off in the house and half are starting in a creepy Saw-like Basement room. Rylan and Frankie had to choose between each pair who were entering the house and decide who went up and who went down.

Firstly, down went Paula Hamilton, quickly followed by ALL the men and Heidi from The Hills.

All the women stayed in luxury, soon to be joined by Rylan and Frankie.

Hopefully BB will be proper evil on everyone this year…watching them suffer is always funnier and much better TV!

Page 2/365 : Back to Quacks, Work & Diet

Back to work…oh the joys of the 7am alarm ringing out. Even worse is when last night’s sleep was broken up on many occasions. Just a bad night of sleep all around, my inflamed chest pain thing was playing up too so I decided the best option was to get booked in at the quacks for another check up.

The doctor told me it was likely just the inflamed tissue again and nothing to worry about but would book me in for some tests just to be sure…certainly getting my moneys-worth out of the NHS these last two years!

Car was playing up again today. It’s becoming a joke now. Couldn’t get in touch with anyone at the garage…again…so the saga continues. For those who don’t know, basically I got the car less than 3 months ago, ad ever since the first night it has been nothing but problematic. It’s all linked to the Spark Plugs and the Coil Pack. It’s been back into the garage about 8 times in as many weeks. Just want it sorting now.

Decided that my new weight loss really needs swimming to back it up. So as we as eating more healthy and really sticking to the Slimming World plan I will be getting to the John Charles Sports Centre and Rothwell as much as possible to help things along. Wanna aim to have swam 100 mile by the end of the year…the mission is ON!

Page 1/365 Re: 2013

Well here we go again. Another 365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months etc for all the more fun and shenanigans to be had.

Firstly a quick look back at 2012. A year dominated by wedding planning and saving, lack of “abroad” holidays, time spent with friends and family and just a generally “nice” year with no traumas, one TV appearance (Total Wipeout) and another one filmed (Tipping Point). There’s been the national highs of public events like the Olympics and of course the Jubilee…a weekend which will forever be remembered amongst our friends as having me walking the streets of Pentre Bychan in Wales wearing a Union Jack Onesie singing God Save The Queen.

2013 came in amongst pain…well, a painful foot. A huge blister on my right foot which Elle lanced and caused me agony all New Years’ Eve!

But 2013 is here…and what plans we have!

In chronological order : January will contain going to the theatre to see Blood Brothers, a show I know little about. February will be Train at the O2 Academy, followed by my Stag Do, the it’s Elle’s Hen Do. Then we’re getting married, then the Honeymoon in Vegas. Throw in tickets to see Robbie Williams and Bon Jovi, another two weddings to attend and much more, and 2013 is shaping up to be a busy one.

So here we are on Page 1…and what has today brought?

Firstly, my foot was still killing so I have up my attendance at the Leeds game. Didn’t think it would do it much good. Leeds won 1-0 with a Becchio penalty…which was nice as I had a fiver on it so bagged £155.

We have watched waaaaaay too many episodes of 24 today, finishing off Season 6, through Redemption and the first 6 episodes of Season 7! Elle is now only 5-4 up in the “Guess the time” game on the breaks on the episodes after I bagged two today!

Plans have been made for every Wednesday to go swimming. It’s the start of the big Wedding health push. We will be back to Slimming World next week too. My weight has spiralled out of control over the Christmas period so I need to reign it back in ASAP.

I am going to do this every day for this year…the most important and fun year ever!
