The weather has turned.
It was a bit cold, a bit windy and a lot rainy. I have been saying that it’ll snow before the end of October. No-one will believe me.
Apparently Davide “Sicknote” Somma is back training with Leeds United. That’s all well and good, and I would get excited if I thought he was the answer to out problems…but he isn’t.
Caught up with loads of TV tonight. Under The Dome, Peter Andre, Educating Yorkshire etc.
Completely forgot to mention the other day that the Dodgers clinched the National League Division Series by beating Atlanta three games to one. The fourth game, at Dodger Stadium was on a knife-edge. Carl Crawford had hit two home runs with his first two hits in the game before the Braves we’re let back into the game in the 4th.
Later in the game, the Braves took the lead and it wasn’t until Puig doubled and Juan Uribe hit a two-run Home Run in the 8th that everything was tied up. Let the celebrations begin.
It’s all a bit surreal for me. Having only started to really watch Baseball this year. Thankfully we were going to LA as part of our honeymoon, so Elle bought me tickets to Dodger Stadium. Click here for my review of the experience
The Dodgers will play the Cardinals in the next round, looking to clinch the National League Championship Series and advance onto the World Series.

Danny Elfman and Tim Burton go together like Abbott & Costello, The Two Ronnies, PJ & Duncan and Barry & Paul Chuckle. They’re a dynamic pairing who are so well known that you can immediately identify any Tim Burton film by its music alone. That is how unique and ironic the sounds he has created are.
This concert was a showcase of Elfman’s work. Everything was in there (Except Charlie & The Chocolate Factory), from Pee Wee’a Big Adventure, to Batman, through Frankenweenie and Nightmare Before Christmas. Almost everything was instantly recognisable. There were a couple of films in there I haven’t seen, but they were enjoyable to listen to nonetheless.
The highlight of the show for me was Danny Elfman coming out and singing Jack Skellington’s songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas. You could tell how much he loved it by how involved he got in the part. Brilliant.
And then we had the Arena. Wow! My first visit to the arena was not a disappointment. Leeds has been crying out for an arena for years and it’s fantastic that we finally have one. And it’s nothing like I have seen before. It’s not your normal oval arena surrounding an ice-hockey rink, but a stunning auditorium where every single seat is amazing with brilliant views.
And the acoustics…wow! Absolute perfection. It felt like we were slap bang in the middle of the music. We sat in two different places as there were some spare seats closer in the second half and both seats were amazing.
I would highly recommend a trip to the arena to anyone at any time. I will be back in November for the WWE Wrestling. I just wish I could go there more often!!!

Nightmare.
Went on Netflix tonight on my iPad and hooked up to the TV through the HDMI connector, only to be told by the iPad that HDMI is no longer supported. What? What? What?
It looks like Netflix has updated to its new version which now only supports Air Play services and will no longer allow the iPad to be plugged into the TV. Great! So now if we wanna watch a Netflix film in bed we’ve gotta either lump the Xbox upstairs, or watch on the iPad itself.
There’s been some right backlash online. Hopefully they will address this issue pretty sharpish!
Interesting day.
Played a little bit of GTA this morning.
Needed to get up and sort some stuff out. Went shopping and headed up to Morley. Had just topped the oil up in the car. And when we got up towards the KFC near the Tommy Wass, the temperature light came on and the gauge was showing that the engine was massively overheating.
We opened the coolant bottle under the bonnet and it was really far down. Oops!
Walked back to Beeston Motor Spares for some coolant and water. Topped it up but by the time we had made it up to Morley, the bottle was empty again. Oh dear!
We topped it up again for the journey home but didn’t put enough in and when we got to the White Rose it overheated again. Nightmare. We put more coolant and water in and made it home. Gonna have to take it into the garage tomorrow to get sorted. Spoke to them and they said that there were two things it could be. One could be the pipe which would cost us about £40-50 and the other could be the pump…but that would cost us around £300!!!!! Fingers crossed!!!
Played tonnes of GTAV Online this afternoon. Went into a game with Lawlor & Crooksy and ran around Los Santos tearing it up. It was really good fun. Crooksy got wasted on Whiskey, Wine n Weed…

It’s late.
I am starting to write this at 2:18am.
The servers came back online for GTA Online which meant only one thing. Lawlor, Crooksy and I were online shooting shit up, landing helicopters on top of Ferris wheels, jumping from building without parachutes and having extremely long, boring circular races all because Crooksy thought it “would be funny”.
It was good fun being online in a crew and having a laugh. It was annoying at times when we were attempting to get into the same sessions, but once we were there it was all good.
Don’t think I have taken my eyes off a TV screen today!
Started off by watching the last 6 episodes of Breaking Bad to finish the entire series off. What a ride! It was pretty slow to start with, and a show we weren’t convinced we were going to stick with, but everyone had told us to stick with it…and we were glad we did. It was fantastic. I won’t spoil anything here just in case you wanna watch.
We managed to get through an entire five seasons and 62 episodes in just three weeks. Pretty good going in my books!
Leeds played at Derby today. They lost 3-1 and apparently didn’t even look like they were in the game at any point. Something drastically needs to be changed. Maybe this international break will do the team good before coming back on the 20th October.
Caught up on a few TV programmes we had been abandoning to get through Breaking Bad.
Had the piss ripped outta me for my #RallyBatmanMask photo I tweeted whilst watching the Dodgers last night. I don’t see anything wrong with it…do you?
After work we went to Kings Cantonese in Drighlington for Rachel’s leaving do. There were 8 of us and 5 decided to go for the banquet. Woohoo! Can’t beat the four courses of Soup, Duck in pancakes, assorted starters and then the mains. Loved it. Only £23 too. Bargain!
Watched the Red Sox demolish the Rays to go 1-0 up in the series. Also watched the whole of the Dodgers game at Atlanta. Dodgers were 1-0 up from the game last night but tonight they struggled to get any kind if push going offensively. Three double plays and a few dubious umpire calls were the order of the day which ended in a 4-3 loss. Atlanta tie up the series and it’s off to LA now for the next two games. They’ll both be needed, but will the fifth match back in Atlanta need to be played??? Time will tell.
Player some GTA before finally laying down to bed around ten to four….ah well, it’s the WEEKEND!!!
The GTA servers are still playing silly buggers. Grrrrrrrr! Not good.
Up to episode 7 of the last season of Breaking Bad now. Will soon be there.
Gutted that the Dodgers @ Braves game is on so late tonight.

Missing the Dodgers game but there’s the first in the best-of-5 vs Atlanta tomorrow night. It’s a late one though. At least Friday night’s game is a more respectable time.
Only watched one more Breaking Bad tonight.
Attempted playing Grand Theft Auto Online but the servers are completely shot and clearly cannot handle this amount of people playing it online at once. HUGE fuck up in my opinion. But hopefully they will sort it out. Until then it’s Story Mode. I am now exactly 50% through that.
In a total can’t be arsed mood tonight. Got home from work an had the Leeds match but it was just one of those nights where I just couldn’t be arsed going out. So I sacked the game off. Shocking, I know.
We got to almost the end of season 4 of Breaking Bad. Will finish it in the morning.
