Page 234/365 : Dodgers & Celeb Big Brother

Early start for the Dodgers today so they can fly back to LA for the series against the Red Sox.

Kershaw was pitching and performed really well, not giving up much and allowing no runs in the 8 innings he pitched before being replaced by this beast

The Dodgers went and ran in 6 runs too which was awesome.

And now it’s time for Celebrity Big Brother 2013. Early rumors are Charlotte from Geordie Shore, Bill Oddie, Whitney Houston’s daughter and Screech from Saved By The Bell…lets see…

A secret room is waiting for the first three housemates, but lets introduce them first :

Housemate #1 : Louie Schpenche – the high-kicking, flamboyant dancer who seriously loves the limelight. I think he’s going to start off annoying as hell but will calm down when being followed 24/7….hopefully! He’s packed tight pants so his “scrote” doesn’t hang out! Classy. Lets start a Louie Spence drinking game…every time he mentions someone famous he’s met take a drink, every time he does a high kick, take another…you’ll be wankered in no time at all!!!

Housemate #2 : Lauren Harries – he was a little wierdo boy on Wogan….you’d recognize if you’d see…although he’s now a she………might end up clashing with Louie Schpenche…maybe…

Housemate #3 : Sophie Anderton – model. She was the Gossard girl whose nipples you could see. I remember having posters of her on my bedroom wall……she looks like a haggard version of Amanda Byram now. Said she’s wanting to shake off the meltdown image of herself…that’s not the image I have of her 😉 – she did almost get trapped by the door as it closed on her!

Secret mission time – Louie, Lauren & Sophie called to the Diary Room. They are to become founding members of a new Cult. It’s the “Cult Of Celebrity”. They will live secretly apart from the other housemates in the Temple Of Celebrity. They’re basically watching the other housemates and will have the power of nominations later tonight.

Housemates #4 & #5 : YES! Les Battersby and Janice Battersby. Bruce Jones and Vicky Entwhistle. They’re gonna have some good chemistry you can tell. They are going in as individual housemates. They don’t know about the other three. Reunited after Corrie…love it!

Housemate #6 : Courtney Stodden – she married 50 year old Doug Hutchinson (he was Percy in The Green Mile…the fucker who didn’t wet the sponge). She married him when she was 16…which was a bit of a scandal in America, naturally. She might be annoying but she might be quite fun.

Brilliant…Janice Battersby told her she had lipstick inner teeth! BURN!

Housemate #7 : Abs from 5ive – heard a rumor he was going in…and I am not sure about him. I think he might end up being a total cock! He’s either going to go that way, or be really funny.

Housemate #8 : Danielle Marr – She was in “Dublin Wives”….apparently everyone was talking about it………OK! First to go! Pointless!

Housemate #9 : YES!!!!!!!!! Dustin Diamond…….that’s Screech from “Saved By The Bell”. Oh….my! What a legend! Screech to win! He should have a good shout at winning this.

Housemate #10 : Charlotte from Geordie Shore! YES! Brilliant! All they have to do is give her some alcohol! She’s gonna be hilarious! Brilliant!

Housemate #11 : Mario Falcone from The Only Way Is Essex…he says he’s a Bad Boy…..he’ll basically take longer getting himself ready on a morning than half of the girls in the house. Cock! His brother in law is Tom from McFly but that doesn’t bring him up any levels at all…he’s still a cock!

Housemate #12 : Oh fuck! Loose Women’s Carol McGiffin. She is always banging on about having a toy boy. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Fuck off! I am quite irate. All the pissy-knickered- granny brigade will be out in force voting for her. A dole-ite’s favourite. Hope she does something controversial and gets booted! Argh!

And finally…

Housemate #13 : Ron Atkinson – ex football manager. He’s been quite controversial in the past…will be interesting to see how “Big Ron” gets along in there. He’ll probably end up arguing with someone in the house. Could go either way.

Big decision time for all Housemates. They have to decide who is the most famous housemates…they nominated Bruce to be the spokesperson. They had a minute to choose who we’re the most famous…and they decided Bruce & Vicky. They are having a special bedroom…..a huge 4-poster in the garden! Haha. Brilliant!

So who will win? Personally, I am saying Screech from Saved By The Bell or Charlotte from Geordie Shore.

Page 233/365 : Dome

Flicked onto the MLB app this morning to see that Puig ha been fined for turning up late, dropped to the bench for the game after going 0-5 the night before…and then came on in the 8th and with the first pitch faced, nailed a Home Run to win the game for the Dodgers. Good lad!

Watched Under The Dome which we had recorded earlier in the week. It is an adaptation from the Stephen King book (who also produced this series). It’s started off really good and although I have no idea where it’s going to go, it looks like it could be a winner.

Oops or got to post this last night. Dodgers lost again.

Re-watched Dexter after falling asleep on Monday night. It was a cracking ending.

Watched Raw too.

Not much more to report really. Bit of a quiet one.

It was rumble time again. It’s fair to say that the following post contains tonnes of Spoilers…so if you hadn’t realised this was a Blog about WWE Summerslam, then jog on.

Summerslam rocked into Los Angeles and the Staples Centre for another 3 hours of mental-ness in the form of grown men grappling.

What a PPV it was. It had absolutely everything. Twists and turns a-plenty and lots of brutal action. CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar was insane. Brock is brutal and turned it up a notch, and Punk stepped up to the mark. The two of them put their bodies through it massively and in the end Brock picked up the win.

Kane lost to Bray Wyatt in a Fire-Around-The-Ring-Type match where there was…erm…fire around the ring…but naturally the Wyatt family managed to get in and spoil things.

Christian came close to beating Alberto Del Rio, but the Mexican retained.

And then it was Cena vs Daniel Bryan. WOW! They really went at it. Cena even attempted some new moves, but when that led to him getting a massive welt under his eye, he soon stopped that and reverted to the five moves of doom. Then Cena almost killed Daniel Bryan by accidentally Piledriving his head into the canvas from the top rope! Only Bryan’s beard saved him…a kind of free face cushion.

But it was Bryan who picked up the win with a massive knee to the face…oh, and did I mention that Triple H was the guest referee? Well he was…and there was no reason for him to be there…was there………….? Oh yeah…as Bryan celebrated with the title, Orton came out with the Money In The Bank briefcase, but wasn’t going to cash it in until the dastardly HHH pedigree’d Bryan and made the win easy for Orton! Cue HHH & Orton posing.

In the wise words of Motorhead  :

Evolution is a mystery
A small change that no one sees.
Clock makes a fool of history .
Yesterday’s so long ago, don’t agree with what I know .
Tomorrow becomes a place to be.

Page 230/365 : Dodgers & Dogs

It was a Dodgers & Dogs day today.

The Dodgers @ Phillies game was on at a normal UK time (6:35pm) so it was set up nicely.

We picked Derek up from his grandma’s this afternoon then back home. Elle whipped up a cracking Hot Dog feast for the game. Amy & Tom came around to watch the match with us.

And it was Time For Dodgers Baseball!

LA started off well in the 2nd, with Ethier knocking a solo Home Run. Ethier also ran in a second in the 4th and it looked like the possibility of an 11th straight win was highly likely..until it all started to fall apart. In the bottom of the 4th, Dodgers let the Phillies in and then again in the 6th to tie it up. But no-one could score then until the bottom of the 9th when the Phillies loaded the bases with League pitching and the ran in the winning run! Boooooo!

Page 229/365 : Leeds Vs Sheff Weds

Back to Elland Road today to watch the Yorkshire Derby of Leeds vs Sheffield Wednesday. Wednesday were coming to Leeds on the back of three 2-1 losses in their first three matches. Couple that with the results that Leeds have had so far, and it was never going to be a scoreless affair.

But the game suffered massively from Leeds’ lack of play to anyone able to put in a good cross. Why do we have no wide players at all.

We had all the early chances without threatening too much…but then a Corner to the back post, headed back across goal and headed in, and Leeds were 1-0 down.

And that’s how it ended up at half time.

Second half, we replaced Green, who had been having a shocking first half. But we replaced him with Tonge who is about as much use!

The brightest sparks in the game were Austin and McCormack, who popped up with a neatly taken goal to equalise.

And that’s how it ended. Both sides had chances but nothing really of any note. There were a few dubious decisions by the ref too. But it wasn’t to be a win for either team unfortunately.

Page 228/365 : Premier League, you’re havin’ a laugh!

So apparently the football season starts tomorrow…really? REALLY?

Sure, the Premier League, sponsored by Sky Bet (I don’t wanna get sued) starts, but is the top flight really the epitome of everything about the English game? I don’t think so…but then again, do I only think that because as a Leeds United fan, we’re in the second tier? Argh!

The Premier League years as a Leeds fan were fun. Seeing Elland Road packed was amazing, but there’s been as many great emotional times in the ten years out of the top flight as there had been when we were in it.

The football season for Leeds started two weeks ago and will continue tomorrow against Sheffield Wednesday in the first Yorkshire Derby of the season. It’s an early kickoff.

The only reason I will be watching the Premier League is to see how my Dream Team goes on…

Page 227/366 : Back To Work

I am writing this a day late because i forgot.

Chest pains have eased a lot. Still not perfect but it was back to work to see how it coped. Luckily it held off from being massively painful. It niggled now and then but seemed to be OK.

This morning the Dodgers were still playing when I woke up. The game ended up going to the 12th innings. Puig & Gonzalez combined to hit the walk off run to sweep the Mets. Good times. Thursday night was a rare night off for the Dodgers.

Page 226/365 : Laid up

Laid up all day again. Had very little sleep last night. Chest still playing up and causing everything to be really uncomfortable. Just want it to go away now.

Caught up watching Falling Skies without managing to fall asleep. Needed to stay awake so I sleep right through tonight. Fingers crossed
