2023/24 Game
2023/24 Game
Game 6
We are underway!
Game 6 began on Sunday 17th March and teams started scoring from then. It’s likely that Game 6 will be the last game unless it gets won really quick then I’ll reassess.
Final Prize Fund (From Sunday 17th March)
Main Game – 0 weeks – £0 (increasing by £46 every Friday when we restart)
Bonus 6+ Game – 2 weeks – £78 (increasing by £39 every Friday when we restart)
Next Prize Fund increase – Next Season

Game 5
We have a WINNER of Game 5 after only 4 weeks! Lincoln just went goal crazy and their 5 goals on Saturday 16th March won them the pot. They take 90% of the pot and £165.60 will be heading off to Ben Kellett. Three teams at the bottom were Cambridge, Sheff Utd and Burton Albion who all only scored 2 goals for Andy Shaw, Andrew Dalton and Dave Ingham who share £18.40 between them, winning £6.13 each.
A new draw will take place shortly with all games from 17th March scoring in Game 6

Draw complete 22th February live on Facebook.

Game 4
Game 4 is officially over at the end of 17th February 2024 when Arsenal landed on 21 exactly for Emma Harvey-Pugh. She won the 90% of the £230 pot (£207). The 10% of the pot is split evenly between the bottom teams. These are Everton, Rotherham and Millwall for David Parkin, Sue Woollin and Joseph Gaynor who split £23 between them, taking home £7.66 apiece.
Your Game 4 teams will remain active in the Bonus 6 game until Thursday. After Thursday, they will switch to your Game 5 teams.
All teams start scoring from Sunday 14th January in the main game.

Game 3
Leicester won the pot for Adam Brown on 13th January

Game 2
Game 2 is over!
After a massive nine teams bust, on Saturday 2th December, Leeds United scored the 3 goals needed by Ben Clough to win Game 2 of the Buster.
He picks up 90% of the £460 Prize Fund which is £414. The bottom of the table wooden spoon prize goes to Jack Richold whose Exeter City only scored 2 goals in the same time.
I will do the Game 3 draw ASAP with all games on 3rd December being the starting point for you all.
As per the Bonus 6 rules, all your teams from Game 2 will stay active in Bonus 6 until Thursday 7th, at which point they will also move to the Game 3 teams.

Game 1
All games started scoring on Friday 4th August.
We have our first winner!
Crewe ended the 23rd September on 21 goals and won 90% of the Main Prize Pot for Sam Moss. He picked up £331.20. Martin Richardson has Cheltenham who scored Zero goals and picks up the 10% Loser Prize of £36.80.
In the same weekend, Plymouth score 6 and Newcastle scored 8…so they shared the Bonus 6 pot of £156. That’s £78 for Emma Harvey-Pugh and Adam Brown

2022/2023 Game
Game 5
Game 5 started scoring from Monday 20th March.
And that is all for this year!
Ipswich score 3 goals and win Game 5, landing exactly on 21 goals during the duration of Game 5. Claire Batley picks up 90% of the £230 prize fund and walks away with £207. Sam Shaw’s Chelsea only scored 1 goal in the same time period and she wins the Wooden Spoon 10% and takes home £23
And with there not being enough games to go for a redraw, that’s the end of the 2022/23 season in the Buster. All the games through to Thursday are still counting in the Bonus 6, but with Petra Pryce already getting 6 this week, that game will end too.
What this means is that some of you will be due refunds and I will message you all individually about this. You will have the choice of taking the refund or just rolling it into next season’s game and I will add it to that.
Every one of you who played will get first dibs on re-joining for the 2023/24 season. It’ll be exactly the same again, but if you don’t want to play, please let me know ASAP and I can give your spot to someone else.
If you have Standing Orders set up, please now cancel them! I don’t need any more money from you for the rest of this season.
Once again, thank you so much for playing. We’ve had a HUGE £3,116 paid into the game with every penny of that being paid out to the prize winners. If you won anything this season, congratulations. If you didn’t, well, there’s always next year!
Current Prize Fund
Main Game – 0 weeks – £0 (increasing by £46 every Friday)
Bonus 6+ Game – 0 week – £0 (increasing by £36 every Friday)
Next Prize Fund increase – New season

Here’s all your teams from the draw done live on Facebook:

Game 4
Game 4 is OVER
Scoring started on Sunday 5th February for this game…and on Sunday 19th March, Arsenal scored the 4 goals they needed to win the Buster Game 4.
With only 6 weeks in the pot, the prize money stood at £276.
Phil Barr win the first prize, 90% of the pot, and takes home £248.40
Bottom of the league is both Petra Pryce and Claire Batley who share £27.60 and take home £13.80 each.
Stay tuned for the Game 5 Draw which will have started scoring from Monday 20th March.
Good luck

Game 4 Team Breakdown:

Game 3
Game 3 is OVER!
In a crazy final week, Carlisle bust midweek with 5 goals, missing out on both prizes. Then all eyes turned to Saturday and Derby needed 4 and only went and scored 5 too!
But it was Salford City who needed two goals who managed it for Eddie Greenham. The prize money was £552. 90% of this goes to the winner, so Eddie wins £496.80. The remaining 10% goes to the rubbish team at the bottom…Joseph Gaynor with Crewe Alexandra wins £55.20.
There will be a redraw for Game 4 in the next few days and Game 4 started scoring from Sunday 5th February.
All the teams you currently have will remain in place until Thursday in the Bonus 6 game as usual. There’s only about 3 matches but it gives someone the chance to win as is always the rule with the Bonus 6 game.
Well done to the winners…
All 92 teams are back in play next Game!

Game 2
Game 2 has been won!
And we have not one…but TWO winners as both Newcastle and Plymouth got the 1 goal they needed each to land on 21 for Sarah Dalziel and Phil Lane.
The Prize Fund was £322. That’s £289.80 split £144.95 each to Sarah and Phil
The remaining 10% is for the one with the rubbish teams, and it’s split between 6 of you who finished on 4 goals. Cambridge (Dave Ingham), Gillingham (Martin Short), Salford City (Andrew Dalton), Sutton United (Nathan Owen-Brown), Barnsley (Paul Coombs) and Crewe Alexandra (Jack Richold).
So that is £32.20 split 6 ways, so £5.36 apiece.
So…onto Game 3…and I’m going to change it purely because of the World Cup and everyone will only be allocated ONE team from League One and League Two. This ensures its a fair game for everyone and the timing of the win was actually quite good for it. This does mean that there’s going to be a couple of teams with no player connected to it, but it should be OK.
Current Prize Fund
Main Game – 0 weeks – £0 (increasing by £46 every Friday)
Bonus 6+ Game – 5 weeks – £216 (increasing by £36 every Friday)
Next Prize Fund increase – 18/11/2022

The draw is done for Game 2 and you will all start scoring from Sunday 25th September

Current Prize Fund
Main Game – 0 weeks – £0 (increasing by £46 every Friday)
Bonus 6+ Game – 1 week – £36 (increasing by £36 every Friday)
Next Prize Fund increase – 30/09/2022
Game 1
Game 1 is OVER!
We have our winners. It all came VERY close at the end. Ultimately, Premiership teams missing games and an international break all played a big part in Northampton Town sweeping in with the 2 goals they needed to win the game for Geraint Harvey-Pugh.
Geraint takes home 90% of the Main Game prize pot and wins £331.20
Gillingham stayed bottom, only having scored 2 goals all season so far for Chris Pearson who picks up the 10% of the Prize Pot. He takes home £36.80.
There will now be a redraw taking place before all Sunday’s games as Game 2 begins. Remember, the Bonus 6+ game runs Friday to Thursday so the Game 1 teams will stay active in that section of the game until Thursday, at which point your teams will switch to the Game 2 teams.

Game 1 Teams

So here goes for the new game in 2022/23. We’ll be going from the very first game of the season. The 46 players who were in last season will get first refusal of playing again next year, but please confirm with me if you are in or not.
So, to cover everything, we’re looking at 43 weeks starting on Friday 29th July. This will cover right through to final payment being on 26th May 2023.
You can pay this Up Front, or in chunks, or alternatively set up a Standing Order. Ask for my Bank account or us last year’s details if you wish to do this.
So if you want to pay up front for the normal game, that’s £43 for the entire season. If you want to play the Bonus 6 game too, thats another £43
Please Be Aware – If either of the games are won between the end 6th May and 28th May, they will not go into a new round and refunds will be given to those who have paid up front. This is because the EFL will have ended and we wouldn’t have enough teams to continue fairly.
So if you want to pay up front and guarantee your place, here’s the payment links. Alternatively, ask me for the Bank Account details:
JUST the Normal Buster game : https://paypal.me/lufcpredictor/43
BOTH Buster and Bonus 6 : https://paypal.me/lufcpredictor/86
If you want to pay in any other denominations, just change the number at the end of that Link. Please be aware that if you pay direct through Paypal yourself, please choose “Friends And Family” which means I receive the full amount.
Prize Money
With 46 players putting £1 a week in, the Prize money rises by £46 every Friday. 90% goes to the winner and 10% to the wooden spoon winner. Here’s a breakdown of the prize money at each week of the game. Once someone hits 21 exactly, we restart from Week 1 again.
The below is assuming that 24 players are in the Buster but this could go up or down as I confirm players.

The Rules
The rules are simple. We split out the 92 League teams across all players. Follow your team’s goals…all you have to do it hit 21 goals WITHOUT going over! Each gameweek ends at the end of each day…so if you hit 21 on a Saturday and someone hits it on Sunday, the team on Saturday wins it.
I will publish the league up here as often as needed and will keep everyone in the loop.
Once the game has been won, all teams are re-drawn for all players and we go again. If a game ends on, say, a Saturday, the new game begins on the Sunday. The Prize Pot gets added to every Friday….there’s the VERY unlikely situation of someone winning on a Saturday and then a team banging in 21 goals before the next Friday so it should be safe to restart the next day.
If no team reaches 21 a decision will be made on the team that scores the most by the end of the season cutoff.
Bonus 6 will run Friday to Thursday – this allows any other team that scores 6 to be in with a share of the money. This is important as if we pay out on a team scoring 6 on Saturday, there’s no money in the Bonus 6 pot until the following Friday, so if a team won on the Sunday, they wouldn’t be able to be paid out.
To play:
Set up a £1 Direct Debit recurring on Fridays to the following account:
Sort Code: 04-00-04
Account Number: 47451606
It will need to be made for 43 week to cover 6th August to 26th May.
Any refunds that need to be made at the end of the game will be returned accordingly.
