This evening, after work, I helped out with a robbery, drove like a lunatic, pulled a stripper and took part in a jet ski chase through the canals of Los Santos.

This, as people who read my blog on a day-to-day basis, is not real life. This…is…Grand Theft Auto V.

It’s my 32nd birthday today. Elle bought me tickets to the Danny Elfman’s Music from the Movies of Tim Burton, as well as a Coca Cola t-shirt. I also got some money…and there was only one thing that was getting spent on…

So at lunch, I headed to Tescos in Batley, only to find they had no copies of GTAV left. I posted about it on Facebook. Then one of my friends said ASDA in Morley had loads of copies…I got there…they had none! So my last ditch effort was Toys R Us. And finally, after a 50 minute tour of Birstall, Batley and Morley, I had Grand Theft Auto.

And it’s a cracking game. All the old elements of fun are there….basically all the insane carnage we all love to play about with. I hammered about five hours this evening. I just can’t get enough!

I even got a birthday well-wish on Facebook from Alex Zane, which was nice.

Page 262/365 : Dodgers clinch NL West!

Writing this on Friday morning but refers to Thursday night!

Yes!

Dodgers tonight (accompanied by Dodger Dogs made by Elle) and after going 3-0 up in the third, they also went 6-3 down in the same innings. It all looked a bit dire until 2 in the 6th, one in the 7th and the winning run in the 8th finally dropped the Magic Number to Zero and the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the National League West.

Cracking birthday present ready for tomorrow…or today(!)

Joy to the world!

iOS 7 is out.

No-one can get it. It’s taking ages to download. Basically the entire world is downloading the exact same file at the same time. Wait your turn folks.

Until then, other things.

Dodgers won last night and that means a win tonight would give them Division Champion Status. Personally I want them to hold off winning until Thirsday because the game is on TV at a normal time.

Leeds were heading for a 0-0 tonight until Warnock got sent off with 4 minutes of the 4 injury time additions up. The resulting delay gave Reading a chance and they took it and win 1-0. Bastards!

Page 260/365 : Laura’s birthday

Went up to our Louise’s after work. It’s out Laura’s birthday today, she turned 20, so it was for a birthday tea. We had a chilli.

Megan was playing Ali Baba with me, it’s like Buckaroo but a camel instead of a horse. I beat her the first game so she didn’t want to play any more! I’m competitive. I ain’t letting anyone win!

When we were going, she shouted “see you next Tuesday!” Haha.

Everyone banging on about Grand Theft Auto today. Boooooooooo! Haha

Page 259/365 : No midnight launch

Wish I had the cash to go get GTAV at it’s midnight launch tonight (Monday Night). Also wish I had the rest of the week of to absolutely hammer it.

I love Grand Theft Auto and this new one will be immense. I just need to cash….but it’s my birthday on Friday so I am hoping that will allow me to buy…then there’s no stopping me!

Watch Night Of Champions. It wasn’t the best PPV ever. The main events were good though. Worth seeing. Raw will be interesting!

Page 258/365 : A Breaking Bad Day

Started to hammer Breaking Bad today. First series watched in full and the first episode of season 2. It’s an alright series but I am still undecided as to whether its as good as everyone makes it out to be. I get a lot of people telling me its a slow burner and that it keeps getting better…but a series in and I am not sure I would be too upset if I didn’t see the rest of them…although I will give it a chance to really get going because I think it deserves it.

Dodgers lost 19-3 last night…oh my!

Page 257/365 : Audition time

Headed over the Manchester this morning for the audition for the new TV show.

Parked up at Trafford Centre before meeting Lawlor and heading over to MediaCity in Salford. It’s a cracking complex. We could even see the Coronation Street set there.

The audition went really well. I can’t really say much about it…these TV types generally don’t like you to mention it online…but now it’s a case of fingers crossed and playing that fun waiting game.

It was the finale of Celeb Big Brother tonight. I don’t wanna bore you all. But Gremlin Vicky and lady’s man Super Mario left first. Then to piss off the pissy knickered grannies, Carol was booted. Finishing third was Lauren and then the finale came. Abz finished second and number one was Charlotte from Geordie Shore. Good times!

Audition time tomorrow. Gonna park up at Trafford Centre then go to MediaCity for the audition with Lawlor. Can’t wait!

Page 255/365 : Blackout Catchup & Audition invite

Finally got around to watching”Blackout” from the other night. Loved it. It’s scary to think what might actually happen if there was a week long blackout in England. It’s a bit scary really. Survival of the fittest…I wouldn’t have a chance!

Got a call back for a TV audition today. Well…Lawlor did. We’re going to Manchester to audition on Saturday. As yet, we’re not saying what it is…these TV types don’t like things being plastered all over…! Watch this space!

Page 254/365 : Dodgers at Dawn

Woke up dead early this morning. Went to check on the Dodgers score and saw it was 3-3 in the 8th innings so I stuck the game on, expecting a fairly quick finish and another hour’s kip….

The game went to the 11th innings an it wasn’t until Scott Van Slyke stepped in to Pinch-Hit, and smacked a corner over the left field wall that the game was finally over with a fantastic walk-off win for the Dodgers over the Diamondbacks.
